Christina Malycha McGlynn
I grew up in Rochester, NY and between my husband, Kevin and I, we have four children. Over my entire life, I have had several spiritual experiences and many unexplained. During college, I took a class and met this wonderful professor that would spend time with me after class on several occasions. She encouraged me to meditate, but I wasn't ready for receiving at that time of my life. She inspired and encouraged me to believe in myself, a true teacher. To receive an "A" in one of her classes, we had to stand on our heads. Well for me, I did not feel that was in my future, but I made a choice to do my best and not be afraid. And, I stood on my head and it was better than any "A" I ever received, as it demonstrated belief in myself and removed fear. My spiritual experiences kept coming and led me to educate myself through talking to people, reading books and attending classes. I have met many like-minded people along my journey and spiritual adventures. Through meditation, I found myself needing to learn Reiki. During this time in my life, I was attending wonderful classes. I brought a friend that needed a bit of positive energy to one class. On my way there, we talked about our futures and interests. I explained to her this need I felt to learn Reiki. At the meeting that same evening, we were in a group with two other individuals. We practiced our assignment and then began talking about spirit guides. I was told that my spirit guide was Lord Ganesha (pictured above) and then, was enlightened by another of my spirit guides, a nurse and another who is an Asian reiki teacher, which explained my need to learn healing techniques, hence, Reiki. In 2015, my husband encouraged me to learn Reiki and we found a class that he gave to me for my Christmas gift. It was so exciting. This class was instructed by Rev. Barbara Carlton. This new path that was really important to me and I did not want to fail.... it was intimidating as I did not know much about Reiki. The moment I met Barbara, I felt joy and love. She is an amazing person and teacher. I have taken Reiki I, Reiki II and other classes from Barbara and will continue to learn new modalities and refine my skills. In 2016, I received my Holy Fire II Reiki Master training directly from William Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training. It was a honor to meet and learn from this prestigious teacher. In June, 2019, have received my Holy Fire III from William Rand. I am truly blessed and honored to have such a supportive family and am grateful to meet all these wonderful people along my journey. I think how lucky am I? It was my intention to meet these wonderful people and have these amazing experiences. I'm grateful for my many blessings.
